College Prep
Averroes is a fully college-prep high school. We offer everything a student needs to build for a successful college application and career without needing to arrange costly outside tutoring or activities. We work with students individually to help them get into the college of their choice,
- When : Typically administered in October.
- What: A practice version of the SAT, used to measure readiness for college-level work and qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
- Why: Helps students assess their academic strengths and weaknesses, and provides a preview of the SAT.
- When: Administered several times a year, usually in March, May, August, October, and December.
- What: A standardized test used for college admissions, measuring knowledge in reading, writing, and math.
- Why: Colleges use SAT scores as part of the admissions process to assess academic readiness for college.
Our mission is to enable students to use their God-given gifts to pursue their dreams with confidence and maturity. The college admissions process is a crucial period in high school students' lives and is a process that starts in 9th grade and involves the whole family.
We work with and walk alongside each of our students and parents throughout the process to make it personal, meaningful, and tailored to their individual needs.
We strive to demystify the process and empower our students to apply to colleges that are best suited for them, emotionally and academically.
